  • Union Public Service Commission provides age relaxation in the upper age limit to the socially and economically backward classes because of the provisions mentioned in the Constitution of India. The Commission provides the following age relaxations to the corresponding categories to apply for the IAS exam.
    5 years to SC and ST Category
    3 years to Other Backward Classes
    3 years to the Defence Services Personnel, disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof
    5 years to the Ex-servicemen including commissioned officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least
