What are advantages and disadvantages of SBI PO?

SBI PO is one of the most promising banking careers. However, a career as an SBI PO has some disadvantages as well. Advantages: 1. One of the most attractive parts is the salary as an SBI PO. At present, the basic pay of Junior Scale One is INR 27,620 and this will get four advance increments up to INR 42020 per month. 2. You will be eligible for a variety of other benefits, including DA, HRA, and medical allowance. 3. SBI provides its employees with a lower interest rate on their bank loans. 4. You will enjoy remuneration for leased accommodation, which can be as high as INR 35,000 in metro cities. Your social circle will expand. Your training could be helpful in your future financial planning as well. 6. SBI gives you the opportunity to get promoted directly to the post of Deputy Manager (scale 2) after training. You will be required to pass a cumulative promotion test to get this promotion. Disadvantage: 1. There are frequent postings, including mandatory rural postings, which may be a challenge. Apart from homesickness, frequent challenges may make your work hectic in these postings. 2. You must be an all-rounder who is willing to learn marketing skills as well as the SBI PO. 3. The SBI customer base is very large and the workload associated with it will be high in terms of volume. You will mostly have a hectic schedule and long working hours. 4. Advantages of State Bank of India Probationary Officer SBI PO): 1- Frequent promotions. 2- Salary higher than public sector banks. 3- Foreign posting. 4- Various additional perks like Newspaper allowance, Books and magazines allowance, Petrol allowance, House maintenance allowance, etc. Disadvantages of State Bank of India Probationary Officer SBI PO): 1- Frequent transfer. 2- High work pressure. 3- Difficulty in balancing work-life. 4- Rural postings are mandatory.
