Alcohols, phenols, and ethers are organic compounds which containd oxygen. Students can check the distict features of these compounds below;
Alcohols are organic compounds containing the –OH (hydroxyl) functional group attached to a carbon atom.
Phenols are compounds where the –OH group is directly attached to an aromatic benzene ring.
Ethers contain an oxygen atom bonded to two alkyl or aryl groups (R–O–R').
