    If what you are looking for is scope and salary or you want to do something different I would suggest that you take BS(research program). Syllabus consist of 70% practical and only 30% theory.     There way many things that you can do other than engineering. like
    Biotech
    FoodTech
    B.sc(Non medical)
    Mass comm
    Fashion, Leather, jewellery,
    textile design
    fashion technolgy
    hotel management
    BA
    B.com(hons)
    Law etc.

    You can go for polytechnic which offer 3 years diploma in Engg in respective branch with limited cost and offer wide range of scope of job
