    CAT is especially to get admissions in IIMs, but also used for other MBA colleges too. CAT is conducted by IIM.
    MAT is an MBA entrance examination for almost all MBA colleges, which is conducted by AIMA.
    XAT is to get admission into Xavier's Institute of Management of different locations and it is also some of the other MBA colleges.

    To get admission in B-schools in India you should apply for above mentioned exams. CAT is considered as India's most important entrance test for PGDM/MBA.

    All are MBA entrance exams where CAT (Common Aptitude Test) is national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) and also, CAT score is accepted by other MBA colleges. MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association) and XAT is to get admission into Xavier's Institute of Management.

    In order to take admission in MBA, tests such as CAT/MAT/XAT are conducted.
    CAT Common Admission Test (especially conducted to take admission in IIM)
    MAT- Management Admission Test
    XAT- XAT is to get admission into Xavier's Institute of Management.

    There are some national and state level entrance exams for MBA Admission like:
    1. XAT conducted by Xaviers Institute.
    2. CAT exam is the qualifying parameter for admissions in IIM.
    3. SNAP is conducted by Symbiosis University.
    4. NMAT by GMAC council.
    5. For NMIMS and other colleges, IIFT exam is conducted.
    6. CMAT is conducted by AICTE.
    7. MAT is conducted by AIMA.
    8. LPU NEST by Lovely Professional University
    9. There are state level exams like KMAT and MH-CET.

For candidates pursuing MBA, the eligibility criteria includes merit and entrance based selection. Whereas, for BBA, candidates must qualify Class 12 with a minimum aggregate. JIIT CDOE MBA on the other hand, is offered based on the minimum aggregate of graduation.  However, for the final admission, candidates must meet the cutoff rank or score and must secure valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as CAT.

Coaching interest such as TIME, IMS, Career Launcher, etc., usually have mock tests and sample papers for students. Educational YouTube channels  offer thought forums regarding past patterns. CAT is one of the accepting exams required for admission to PGDM programme. However, it is not compulsory. Aspirants with a valid score in any other accepted entrance exams such as MAT, XAT or CMAT can also get admission in PGDM. Selected aspirants also have to pass the case-based group discussion and a personal interview round for final admission.

The CUSAT CAT passing marks for the BTech exam is 10 marks in maths and 10 marks in physics and chemistry combined. However, Kerala SC and ST candidates do not have a minimum passing mark.
