What are different types of scholarships at LPU?

Hello, Lovely Professional University strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So, the University extends Scholarship Scheme to students on various parameters. Scholarship can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. Students have been awarded a scholarship worth of around Rs. 100+ crores every year. So, if you are looking forward for admission in Masters from LPU, there are different scholarship schemes available for you. Among all based on my personal experience I would suggest you to must apply for LPU NEST I. e. Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test. I have availed huge scholarship through this test through out my Masters. There are many students in university who are availing scholarship on the basis of scores in board exams, You will be glad to know that LPU has recently added few more scholarships schemes such as COVID-19 Frontline scholarship, Scholarship on the basis of previous qualifications and many more for the prospective candidates. As per your scores in Board Exam, LPU offers scholarship starting from 70% onwards. LPU, being the largest university also has the largest scholarship ecosystem ! I last few years more than 50000 students have benefited from the various schemes which university floats. The following categories/criteria are taken for scholarships: Scholarship on the basis of Percentage in qualifying exam/ Qualification previous to Eligibility Qualification COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship for the Frontline Workforce Scholarship on the basis of LPUNEST Scholarship on the basis of NEET Scholarship on the basis of Performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular and Social Service Bravery Awards. Special Scholarships and Fee Concessions Please note that the third phase of admissions is underway, it will close on 31-08-2020, post that the scholarships are likely to be either reduced or phased out. Hi Vaibhavi, LPU hosts many fests during it's academic year. Some of them are ONE WORLD, ONE INDIA YOUTH VIBE etc. Youth vibe is an fest conducted mostly in the month of February for 3-5 days. In that fest students can show case their skills and win some prizes too. It is one of the biggest fest in LPU.

On inquiring, I came to know that LPU do offer scholarship to provide financial assistance to the students on the following criteria: 1. On the basis of marks in previous class 2. LPU conducts Lovely professional university national entrance and scholarship test LPU NEST on the basis of which student can enhance their scholarship 3. Some national level tests like JEE Mains, NATA NEET UCEED CAT XAT MAT CMAT NMAT GPAT GATE etc. 4. Performance on the basis of sports, cultural or co-curricular activities. 5. Board Toppers 6. For Orphan students or person with certain disabilities 7. Defence personnel and central armed police forces (CAPF) dependents 8. LPU has also floated COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship for the survivors of COVID and for their dependents as well. # From the above mentioned scholarships, candidate will get one that too which will be maximum one. I will advise you to plan the admission at the earliest to fetch the maximum benefit of scholarship in a particular phase.

LPU believes in the fact that money should not be a constraint for a student to pursue his choice of studies. Scholarship can be availed in the various courses offered by LPU. LPU offers scholarship on the various categories :- The first and foremost category is that a student can avail the scholarship on the basis of his/her previous qualification or previous to previous qualification which should be minimum of 70 percentage. For instance if a student is applying for a Bachelors degree, LPU will be considering the 12th marks or 10th marks whichever will be higher. LPU conducts Lovely professional university national entrance and scholarship test LPU NEST on the basis of which student can enhance their scholarship. Some national level tests like JEE Mains, NATA NEET UCEED CAT XAT MAT CMAT NMAT GPAT GATE etc. Performance on the basis of sports, cultural or co-curricular activities. Board Toppers For Orphan students or person with certain disabilities Defence personnel and central armed police forces (CAPF) dependents From all the above mentioned whichever is higher that will be applicable. The fees structure depends upon the scholarship applicable, as the scholarship amount is reduced from the fee of every semester.

Scholarship applicable on the basis of Qualifying exam National Level Test LPUNEST exam Sports Cultural R & D Co-curricular Social Service Bravery Awards Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board Scholarship for Orphan Applicants/Single girl child (Need-Based) Scholarship for Person with Certain Disability Students who have topped their board examination of eligibility qualification (10th or 10+2 as applicable) and are among the top 20 merit holders, may avail scholarships of full tuition fee waiver and hostel fee waiver which is applicable to four-seater air-cooled rooms. To facilitate quality education to deserving applicants, LPU offers a special scholarship of Full Tuition fee waiver to orphan students who are residents of India and whose parents are dead. A maximum of 10 applicants will be awarded this scholarship on the basis of a first come first serve basis subject to satisfying the LPU policy for the same. Applicants having Benchmark disability of more than 70% and/or Locomotor disability caused by spinal cord injury can avail the benefit of full programme fee waiver subject to his/her case being approved by Special Committee constituted by LPU. So, the students meeting the requirement of Bracket- 1 gets the highest Scholarship and those in Bracket - 2 or 3 gets relatively lesser scholarship. Scholarship Phases: The amount of Scholarship also depends on the Phase in which the candidate takes Admission in the University. Admissions in LPU is done in different Phases, which are bifurcations of the Admission time period. Phase 1 starts as early as January and continues till the end of April. The subsequent phases (Phase 2, 3, 4) are conducted only if the seats in the concerned Programme remain vacant. The amount of Scholarship reduces with each passing phase and no Scholarship is offered in Phase 4 (if conducted). .
