What are important preparation strategies for UGC NET?

Hello students, UGC NET examination is an examination that is being conducted presently by CBSE to decide eligibility for working as Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellow. The eligibility for this examination is post-graduation in any subject. A student can appear for any of the possible almost 90 subjects. If one passes JRF, then it makes the student eligible for admission to a doctoral research. Other qualifiers become eligible for teaching. Presently, the syllabus has not changed and this helps students to prepare comfortably by going over the question papers of previous years. But, actually nothing can replace hard work of studying as per plan every day and preparing thoroughly for the examination. Major preparation strategy should revolve around studying every subject every day and taking mock tests.

UGC NET is an exam conducted by CBSE for checking eligibility of candidate for job in PSUs. All these PSUs use marks for UGC NET for giving jobs and top 6% students of the exam are qualified for the job of an assistant professor. Here are a few tips for UGC NET preparation: 1. Paper 1 consists of 50 question from reasoning, elective course, comprehensive skills and general awareness. So, reading newspaper everyday will improve comprehensive skills and general awareness. And for reasoning questions, Arihant Publishers’ book for Mental Ability which help to solve this problem. 2. Paper 2 & 3 question are from selected subject of interest. So, this section is quite important. So, complete the syllabus and never try to study topic apart from the syllabus. And firstly, study those subjects which is covered fastly. 3. Study good books for your concerned subject NAD try to make notes for your better way to study and revise at the last moment of exam. 4. Daily study at least 4-5 hours and make a habit of revision of your previous learned topic. Schedule your preparation and give time to every section of syllabus. Study with full concentration.
