LPU does have tie ups with Canada. LPU is a UGC recognised full fledged university and its courses are recognised globally. In addition to it, it has various tie ups with many countries. As far as Canada is concerned, The LPU ha tie up with these universities: 1. Memorial University of Newfoundland 2. University of Guelph 3. Brock University 4. Cambrian College 5. Spot Shaw College 6. Trent University 7. Cape Breton University 8. The Governors of the University of Lethbridge 9. Carleton University 10. Kings University College 11. Mount Royal University 12. Lakehead University 13. The University of the Fraser Valley 14. Mount Allison University 15. The University of Winnipeg 16. Mount Allison University 17. The Board of Governors of Red River College 18. Northern Lights College and many more. There is a separate dedicated department in LPU that looks after the international transfer matters and the name of the department is - the Department of International Affairs. All the queries are handled by them. This has been done to give an international flavour to the Indian curriculum, the LPU came up with various interesting options. These programmes reduce the cost and increase the efficacy of the programme. The options are namely, 1) Credit Transfer programme (Final Degree would be entitled by partner foreign University of LPU) 2) Semester Exchange programme (will have mention in the report card) 3) Summer/Winter School (mention in the report card) 4) International Internship Opportunities 5) Masters abroad programme (Fully foreign degree) The students can go to these universities through international credit transfer programme, semester abroad, for summer school or for a degree abroad. It allows the students to experience the international study culture well under the framework of a different educational system abroad.
