Based on the number of applicants applied the cut-off range for DoMS NIT Trichy varies every year. The expected cutoff are (For General-80 and above, OBC-70 and above, SC/ST-65 and above). Well, you have good marks and also a job experience which is great but getting a call from NIT is a little difficult as it has higher cut-off even for SC. But try to get a good college.

6 years agoWell, NIT being one of the top tier colleges having a 50 percentile can get you a call but I don't think you have great chances of converting the call. Your work experience is good and I don't think if you are targeting a good college as NIT for MBA, then you will have any problem in reattempting CAT and other entrance exams. So I would suggest you to continue the job and that will eventually help you but alongside prepare well for CAT next year. However if you want admission this year then look for other good colleges that will accept this score.
All the best.
