What are my chances of getting admission in good B-School?

For stepping into the best B Schools it it is essential to appear in certain exams like MAT,GMAT,JMET,xat,cMAT etc through which u can get admission in the top level B Schools in the world. .If u qualify that's good otherwise u are also having option to get admission in some of the leading colleges/institutes like Lovely Professional University, SA Engg College Chennai,Amity Global Business School, Chandigarh which provide better placement services and quality education.

If you mean full time MBA or PGDM program then please remember in order to pursue this program you need to be graduate in any field with atleast 50% marks in graduation, plus you need to take various management entrance test like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, etc. The selection process in B-schools generally consists of : A. Past Academic record. B. Scores in entrance tests. C. Group Discussion. D. Personal Interview. E. Work experience. Please note that each B-schools shortlists candidates for second stage of selection process which may be independent of each other. The process may include - Written Test. - Group Discussions. - Personal Interviews. Performance in various management entrance tests is an important component in the admission process. B-schools may use previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short listing and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process. The processes, academic cut-offs and the weights allocated to the evaluation parameters may vary across B-schools.

Hi Varun, Have you given any national level competitive exams? What's your rank? If you haven't given any entrance exam, then the chances of getting in a good B-schools are very less. But, don't be disheartened, you can still take admission in some of the premier schools of the country as many of these institutes also have their own assessment tests for students who missed the bus on CAT, CMAT, XAT etc. On the top of my mind is Indian Institute of Learning and Advanced Development (INLEAD), Gurgaon. The institute offers post-graduate programs (MBA/PGDM/PGPM) in International Hotel Management, International Business Management, Infrastructure Management, Events Management and PR and Healthcare Administration. Congratulations Varun. Though your 12th percentage is not so good but your graduation percentage is very good you can well apply in good business school. You can well apply in NIILM-CMS where the placement is excellent and is offering the PGDM course at 4 lacs and with an average package of 6-6.5 lacs.
