    The university provides various courses at different levels, i.e. Undergraduate and Postgraduate, across various disciplines, including Business, Health, Science and engineering, and journalism. PhD and research. However, the requirements might vary depending on the course the applicant chooses.

    UG course requirements: 

    • ACT and SAT scores: SAT and ACT for your overall score. However, if you have taken the test more than once, you are suggested to submit the highest scores on SAT or ACT.  Individual requires a score between 1450-  1570 on SAT.

    • Self-Reported Academic Record( SRAR): NYU asks applicants to submit their academic records without relying on high school counsellors or another administrator. 

    • SOP: An SOP is essential for the application process for NYU. It helps the applicant to convey their talents, Academic excellence accomplishments and personal background of applicants.

    • Portfolio ( Audition depending on your chosen course):  This depends on the course the applicant is choosing, as this is not present in every program. However, having a creative and unique portfolio will help you get into the NYU. ( click here to: Make your portfolio look better)

    • Statement of purpose( an SOP): An SOP is essential for the application process for NYU. It helps the applicant to convey their talents, Academic excellence accomplishments and personal background of applicants. 

    • Transcripts and degrees: the applicant must provide the university with transcripts of their academics with degree certificates. Similarly, applying for PhD or doctoral program may require a master’s degree and transcripts from all graduate institutions of the applicant. 

    • English Language Proficiency exams: The following table explains the minimum score  of each English exam the university is excepting :

    • Entrance exam: Graduate school entrance exams are most common, but however, the programs might require different exams from the applicants. The most common exam NYU excepts from applicants is GRE(  Graduate Record examination ). GMAT, LSAT ( Law school admission test) and MCAT ( Medical College Admission test).

    • Resume/CV:  The University also might ask you for a CV or a resume depending on the course you choose for professional experience.
