Though I am not a professional, here are some tips for a better campus life
For Study: As for first year there will be a less pressure for studies, so go for the basics and learn it strongly. Every day 4 hour of coding is mandatory, keep doing coding.
For Campus: Besides studies take some time to explore the campus also make friends. Also participate in curriculum activities such as hackathon. And you should apply for clubs as it will help you in the time of interviews to show your skills.
