Since its inception in 1983, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune believes in promoting and nurturing budding technocrats, develop them into the able employees, and entrepreneurs. Scholarship section of this institute aims to aid students to provide more information about various scholarship schemes of Central Government, State Government, Private Foundations and Funding Agencies. Following scholarship schemes are rolling now.
GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES:
1. AICTE’S SAKASHAM SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME:
Saksham is a MHRD Scheme being implemented by AICTE aimed at providing encouragement and support to specially-abled children to pursue technical education. All eligible specially-abled student admitted to First year of Degree level course or Second year of Degree level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved Institution will get the scholarship.
2. AICTE’S PRAGATI SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (FOR GIRL STUDENT):
This scheme is being implemented by AICTE aimed at providing assistance for advancement of Girls pursuing technical education. A total number of 5,000 scholarships are earmarked per annum under this scheme for pursuing first year of Degree level course or Second year of Degree level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved Institutions.
3. AICTE’S DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP (ADF):
This scheme is being implemented by AICTE to promote research culture in AICTE approved Institutions. It also aims to promote collaborative research between Institute and Industries leading to start-ups and to nurture talents for technical research.
4. AICTE’S POST GRADUATE (PG) SCHOLARSHIP:
This scheme is being implemented by AICTE in order to ensure technical development in India. This scholarship is awarded to the full time GATE/GPAT qualified students admitted to AICTE’s approved post graduate programs in AICTE approved institutions/university department.
5. NATIONAL FELLOWSHIP FOR ST STUDENTS:
TheMinistry of Trible Affaires, Government of India, invites applications from eligible candidates for National Fellowship for ST candidates for the academic year 2020-21. The said fellowship will be awarded to those candidates, who have already taken admission/join to Ph.D. program in the government approved institute.
6. NATIONAL OVERSEAS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (NOS) FOR ST STUDENT:
The Ministry of Trible Affaires, Government of India, invites applications from eligible candidates for National Overseas Scholarship Schemes (NOS)/Passage Grant Scheme for ST candidates for the academic year 2020-21. The said scholarship to the students selected for pursuing higher studies abroad at the Master level, Ph.D. or Post-Doctoral Research Programs.
7. PRIME MINISTER SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (JAMMU AND KASHMIR):
Objective of the Scheme is to build up capacities in youth of J&K, educate, enable and empowering them to compete in normal course, enhancing and boosting employment potentials in students of J&K. Total 5000 scholarship are given @ Rs. 100000/- as Maintenance Charges and academic fee as Rs. 125000/- to Engineering Degree.
8. POST-METRIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR MINORITIES:
The Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India announces the said scholarship scheme. The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.
9. MERIT CUM MEANS SCHOLARSHIP FOR TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL COURSES
The Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India announces the said scholarship scheme. The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a Government or private institution, selected and notified in a transparent manner by the State Government/Union Territory Administration concerned. It will cover technical and professional courses at undergraduate and post graduate level.
10. TOP CLASS EDUCATION SCHEME FOR SC STUDENTS:
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India announces the said the scholarship scheme. The key objective of the scheme is to empower schedule caste through top class education opportunities.
