1. If you manage a good posting in cities like Bhopal, Mumbai, Nagpur etc. There are no transfers. You can lead a settled life. 2. Good salary and time bound promotions. In addition to the salary IRMS get 25% of the total salary ( Basic +DA) as NPA which is counted as the part of the salary. Thus, doctors are the highest paid government officers for equivalent lentht of service I. e. more than IAS officers. 3 In addition, doctors get all the facilities of Railways like free passes, bungalow, clubs etc.
