What are the advantages of pursuing a PG course in teaching? Should I opt for higher studies or pursue a job after completing B.Ed and why?

In India, candidates choose teaching field only when all the doors get closed but this is sad to say, when candidates choose this field by choice then he or she will surely get good jobs. To get into teaching field B.Ed has now become compulsory. One can get jobs in schools after doing this course and good salary as well. But in order to get admission in any college of national importance in India then he/she must pursue Masters after the completion of Bachelors and then go for M.Ed, which means 4 years of studies will be worth a top college.After doing M.Ed candidates are eligible for CBSE UGC NET and through this exam one can get admission in top colleges as an assistant professor and get research work as a JR.

M.Ed is a higher study option after B.Ed. But for joining this course, one should be a PG in any stream. This is offered by DIET centres all over the country. After the completion of the M.Ed course, graduates can join as higher secondary teachers in various institutions. Also, M.Phil is another option. In case you opt for a job then the job ensures job security, job satisfaction and also good pay packages The job also ensures flexible schedule. Teachers are not only responsible for developing a student's academic knowledge, but they also make them perfect in all aspects of life. As said earlier, to become a successful professional in the teaching field, one should have a minimum qualification of B.Ed. The job opportunities for these professionals are numerous. They can find employment in various government and government aided institutions. For recruitment, government organizes SET exam. The M.Ed graduates can find employment in schools anywhere in the country after qualifying the NET exam. They can teach at the higher secondary level and even work as lecturers in various universities or colleges. Now, the decision has to be made by you keeping in mind the various points.
