Both Bonn & Hamburg are considered among the best universities in their respective regions.

However securing a seat at either is not an easy ask with both being selective to a great degree. University of Bonn acceptance rate stands at around 36% while that of Hamburg University is 24%.

Thus it can be said though both universities are selective to varying degrees, securing a seat at UOB is marginally easier.

Monthly cost of living can go as high as EUR 864 (INR 81 K). Average cost of living in Bonn is around INR 75,500-INR 94,100.

This includes food and grocery, housing, public transport, utilities & other maintenance charges. Students are advised to carry some extra reserves to take care of any unplanned charges that may arise during stay.

German Students Visa 2025 New Changes: The German Foreign Ministry has launched a Consular Services Portal known as digital.diplo.de to reduce the processing time of Germany student visas. Students can now apply for visas online, fill out the application form, and submit the documents to get into the University of Bonn. Here the students will have to visit VFS Global only for biometrics after completing their application online. For more information on the process along with images, click here
