Hi Sameeksha, there are a lot of colleges and universities which offer courses in mechanical engineering. However, I will share with you the details of thecourse offered by LPU. The LPU also offers B Teach in Mechanical Engineering. It is an Engineering programme which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal etc. Specialisation. The Eligibility Criteria is (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST/ JEE (Mains). For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) If Candidate has 85 or more percentile in JEE (Mains), then LPU NEST is exempted. The course aims at enabling the student to Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics and computational skills and tools. He should have the Ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using relevant manufacturing technology. He should acquire Capability of building efficient energy conversion systems using basic understanding of Thermodynamics Heat transfer and Fluid Mechanics. Being LPU alumni I would recommend B.Tech Mechanical from LPU, I am sharing my friend's review regarding this course, His experience at LPU was amazing, Currently, he is working with XL Dynamics with a decent package. As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in. Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. University organized International Go-kart Championship which is a student-initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. All colleges showcase their achievements but you need to dig deep and choose as if you will get into good college then it will be easy for you to get good skills and get placed into renowned companies. It is a little hard to say which is the "best" because it really depends on the student's preferences and research interests but in my opinion, You can go for Geeta University as it is the best University for in NCR. GU gives the student a unique opportunity to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a few specializations in it: Electrical Vehicle Tech. Robotics & Automation A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. I have heard a lot about LPU, LPU has well qualified faculties, great infrastructure, complete placement assistance, live projects, well equipped labs and lot more. My cousin brother is pursuing B.Tech Mechanical from LPU,reviews are pretty good,He told me that the engineering stream at LPU itself has received an overall good rating from students and alumni. School of Mechanical Engineering organized an International Conference on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICRAME), in which experts from leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Biomimicry India were present. The syllabus is updated every 6 months which personally, It has separate lab facilities available for each course like robotics Lab, research lab, postgraduate lab, aviation lab, lab for fashion designing, advance kitchen lab etc. Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for them by the university. , Ministry of Science Technologys Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs, top Central and State Universities including (LPU) from across the country presented their research proposals.
