As per a former student's opinion, the University of Tampa is a very interesting place to hang out in. Thereare various places to search for such as, Seminole Heights area has some pretty cool bars, local restaurants, and coffee shops. There are several great vegetarian/vegan eateries in that neighborhood too, and its close to UT —easy biking distance. You can also check out Meetup.com— Tampa has lots of great meetups, and more variety of meetups than even many bigger cities, like Seattle and D.C. I was part of an ASL meetup, a Young & Diverse Conversation meetup, and went to many great open-mic’s at coffee shops
