What are the career & job prospects in India and abroad for B.Com (Hons.) in Financial Markets Management?

    Talking about career and job prospects in India after B.Com (Hons), it isn't having much of opportunities as there is so much of competition out there. So yes, it can be said that B.Com (Hons) is not enough for good career building. The exception is that you studied from SRCC or Hansraj that can get you placed with a package of 10 LPA or so.
    Hence, it is advisable to go for post graduation or some professional qualification in order to build a career.
    Talking about the job prospects abroad, it carries hardly any opportunities out there.

    A career in commerce offers immense growth as demand for professionals is always on a high. Job opportunities exist right after the programme. Jobs for B.Com graduates exist in India as well as in abroad.
    Individuals also have the option to pursue higher studies after B.com. They can apply for Master of Commerce (M.Com) or Master of Business Administration (MBA).

    Dear Students,
    As of now, in the current scenario, I would say that there is probably very low or no scope for getting an entry in financial market management jobs after completing B.Com (hons.).
    As people are pursuing CFA, few are done with level one and now if you take an example of a candidate with B.Com (Hons) degree and other with B.Com (Hons)+ CFA level one, it's quite obvious. A company would prefer the one with relevant sector knowledge and skills hence it is very important to add value to B.Com (Hons) qualification in order to get a job in the financial market management jobs which can be added by PG programmes or various certif

    After B.Com Honours, you can get career opportunities in corporate areas like:
    Backend operations of Financial institutions, commercial and investment banks like JPMC, Credit Suisse, RBS(Package - 3-5 LPA).
    Research Associates with Economic Consulting Firms like CRISIL, ICRA, CARE (Package 4-6 LPA)
    Advisory and Consulting institutions like IT firms (Package 2-3 LPA).
    Import/Export Companies (Package 2-4 LPA)
    Insurance and Financial Services sector like BIRLA SunLife, IDBI-Bank, Bharati-AXA, etc.
    You can also find jobs in Marketing and Accounts divisions of various big corporate houses like Murugappa, TATA, Dabur, Birla (3-5 LPA).
