What are the career & job prospects in India for Wireless?

Currently, wireless communication engineers jobs are found with mobile companies, cable television providers, DTH, internet service providers, device manufacturing and retail outlets that sell wireless devices and services. Careers in wireless communications range from customer service, R&D engineers, installation engineer, operations, product development, etc. Most of the jobs are for ECE engineers with growth opportunities from engineers to department head. Wireless experts have job opportunities in PSU, Defense services, paramilitary forces, Railways, DRDO/ISRO, etc. , telecommunication regulatory bodies, etc. Indian Engineering Services is also an option for wireless engineers. The mobile phone companies are doing a lot of research in enhancing their services to attract new customers. According to one news report, India is one of the worlds the fastest growing mobile phone markets. The career options in the wireless and mobile technologies include: Mobile Phone System Engineer Android, Blackberry, iPhone, Windows Mobile Applications Developer Mobile Applications Testing Specialist Mobile Phone Verification Manager Mobile Architect Customer Care Officer Marketing Manager Technical Support Engineer KPI (Key Performance Indicator) Engineer Salary of engineers in Telecom and Wireless industry ranges from 2-3 LPA at entry level to 10-12 LPA as a telecom engineer or VLSI engineer in any mobile manufacturing firm. Hello, With the initiative of Digital India, the domain of wirless communication is becoming wider. Various IT companies which are working abroad are now looking at India as the greatest option for investment. This makes wireless communication engineers a must in IT industry and demand is increasing with every passing day. The field of wireless telecommunication engineering changes rapidly as new technologies develop. Wireless telecommunication engineers must constantly update their skill set to stay current. To get a job, you need to do B.Tech in Electronics and communication engineering (however, M.Tech students are generally preferred). Apart from good technical skills, you should be good in communication skills, team management, etc. You have the good knowledge of technical know-how about what you are supposed to do.
