    Hey Shubhanshu,
    As you know in the modern world civil and mechanical engineers are always required. I can say scope of the course is very demanding but that is determined by your potential as well as the university you are studying in. Not all colleges are successful in providing placement in civil engineering. Choose your college wisely which has good placement record. Some suggestions -

    Civil engineering will always be in demand. Human civilization will always be engaged in the task of construction be it for residential purposes, commercial, or leisure. After doing a course in civil engineering you can become:
    Construction manager. Geotechnical engineer. Environmental engineer. Public Health engineer. Transportation engineer. Urban planning engineer.     Apart from IIT, top colleges for civil engineering are National Institute of Technology, R.V.College of Engineering, Delhi Technological University, College of Engineering Pune, UPES Dehradun, Lovely Professional University etc.
    Lovely Professional University is one of the best institutes for engineering in the state of Punjab. So if a degree in B. Tech (Civil engineering) is what you seek, I suggest that you do consider LPU. I have sound reasons to actually make this suggestion.
