    To choose the branch, first preference should be given to your personal interest about the field and the subject like in which you've more interest. If you are interested in computers, then obviously, you should go for computer engineering. If you have interest on machines then mechanical engineering is the best bet for you.
    Next factor is market condition. Present market condition trends of engineering students towards ECE, CSE, Civil, etc.
    Third and most important factor is the college you get in to. Like if you qualify for IIT, then whatever stream you get there, you will never miss it irrespective of your interest and liking. In som
