    Hi,
IT can be considered as one of the most reliable options when it comes to job opportunities. India has become a very huge market not only for Indian originated IT companies but also foreign IT companies who are investing a lot in terms of workforce from India. What are the IT companies are expecting is 1st division grades in 10th, 12th and graduation along with good communication skills.
All you need to do is to get yourself enrolled in a college that has good records and market tie ups with IT companies.
When talking about Chemical engineering, it is not worth until and unless you are pursuing it from IITs as there is not much scope

IT, Computers and electronics are the trending branches as of now and this is mainly because of the booming IT service sector. If you are not someone keen on joining an IT company and has some interest towards chemical engineering, then you should opt for chemical engineering. Chemical engineering offers a lot of opportunities in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, fertilizer companies etc. Post Chemical engineering, you also have an option to do masters and PhD.
