What are the career prospects after B.Pharm and M.Pharm?

Hello Prashant, M.Pharma is a 2 year Masters programme which is sort of like specialisation after Bachelor programme (B.Pharma). It is divided into streams like Pharmaceutics, Medicinal Chemistry, Analysis, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacy Practice (these are the major ones few more are there). The first year is academic learning and 2nd year is research focused. B.Pharma is a 4 year Bachelor programme that is the undergraduate level in Pharmacy and builds a base for wide range of topics in industrial, clinical and community setting. Good luck.

Prashant, Pharmacy is a part of the medicine field that relates the chemical Science with the health sciences. The professionals working in this field are generally called pharmacists. Their job includes the preparation, mixing, compound or distributes various drugs, medicines, tablets, ointments, etc. they implement these works on the prescription of a medical profession, veterinarian or dentists. In short, their work is related with the manufacturing of various pharmaceutical products. Tremendous increase in the rise of various hospitals, pharmaceutical firms and nursing homes all over the country has gradually increased numerous opportunities for the pharmacy graduates. There are diverse employment areas for the pharmacists such as in government departments, pharmaceutical companies, investigation etc. Within these industries, the pharmacists are engaged in the activities like formulation, production, development and distribution of various existing and new drugs for the dispensary uses. Other wide range of employment lies in the drug control administration and in armed forces. They can also work as medical representatives with the responsibilities like introducing new drugs to the medical professionals and pharmacy shops thus promoting the sales of their pharmaceutical firms. After Masters, one can also get into universities, research institutes, teaching hospitals, etc. Many good universities like Lovely Professional University, Nirma etc are offering the course.
