What are the career prospects after completing course in Public Relations?

hi..can u pls tell me the scope in Public Relations for a B.com grad student? I am also pursuing a diploma course in Corporate Communications & PR(duration:6months).Also,should I immediately join some institute for higher studies in PR after my graduation or do some job in this field first?
