    PGDTE is a 1-year Diploma regular or distance course of study concerning teaching English. This programme is mainly designed for students or professionals who want to make their career in English teaching. A person with a M.A. Degree in English/English Literature/ Linguistics/ TESL with a minimum of 50% marks within the course is eligible for PGDTE. Aspirants from any field of education can apply for PGDTE.

    PGCTE is one of the levels that you will have to cross to either complete your B.Ed to teach at school level or your M.Phil in english to teach at a college level. Couple it with a NET or a Ph.D. and you can think of having a good career.

    It's a wonderful option to opt for post graduate in English. If you do it, then options of teaching open up. Go for Ph.D or Jeff and go for lectureship.
