What are the career prospects attached with C.F.P certification?

Hi Kaustubh, CFP is a good career alternative for those who want to make a career in " Personal Finance" domain. Many Banks, AMCs, Insurance Companies, Wealth Management Companies, Broking Firms etc are looking for qualified CFPs. So, the scope & potential in this stream is immense. Moreover there are 23 countries (read: - USA, UK, Australia, NZ, Canada, Singapore etc) where your qualification gets recognized. If you want to practice or work in any of these countries, then all you've to do is give a "Cross Border Exam" & meet the country specific requirements (if any), thus giving you the required global reach. On the other hand, if you are looking to make a career in "Securities & Trading", then take up the "Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)" designation from CFAI, USA. The CFA qualification will give you a better reach & platform to make a career in Securities & Trading. So, before you jump into the fray, ask yourself your area of interest, inquire with people & institutions about the role played by both of them (i.e. CFP & CFA) & take a call accordingly.
