What are the career prospects in India and abroad for BBA Tourism and Hospitality?

In India alone, scope for Tourism and Hospitality is very strong, thanks to the country's diverse culture, history, geography etc. Also the government is giving importance to this sector, we can see world class promotional and marketing activities which clearly indicates more and more skilled professionals would be required, employment is going to increase and more opportunities in this sector will open up in coming times both in government and private sector. Starting salary in India can range from RS 10-20k a month. Overall, Tourism is an important factor in driving a country's economy. It is an expanding industry and career prospects could be found in hotel, airlines, cruise etc. All major tourist destinations have many roles to offer to a qualified candidate. One can enroll into a good university or college abroad to get to know about the country's tourism structures and apply for jobs accordingly. Switzerland, UK, France, Italy have some of the world renowned hospitality schools. As an undergraduate degree holder in Tourism and Hospitality you will be open to jobs such as Hotel or Restaurant Management Staff, Travel Agent, Tour Operators, Travel Consultant, Event Manager, Tourism Promoter, Air Hostess and so on. One can also be an entrepreneur and start his own travel and tour venture or business.
