RJs can find jobs in AIR (All India Radio) and other independent radio stations. AIR (All India Radio) holds auditions for RJs every 3 months in their radio stations in various cities, especially in metros. RJs can do voice-overs for television and radio advertisements.

A Radio Jockey can earn anything between INR 10,000 to 30,000 initially but as one gains experience and popularity, salary of a Radio Jockey can go up to 1.5 to 2 Lacs per month. Moreover, popular RJs get additional earning opportunities by hosting private shows, voice over for television and radio ads among others.

Radio jockeying is a professional domain of radio anchoring and radio announcements. Radios, particularly FM channels, are the talk of the entertainment domain now and carry a huge potential for Jobs and a growing career. The presenters of a radio show are required to be excellent at improvising, entertaining, humor, language proficiency and presentation styles. To be more specific the certificate course holders can claim jobs at any of the big radio stations based on the skills of language and presentation they earn during the course. In INDIA - Akashwani, Community Radio and Private FM channels (national level as well as state and district level) have jobs for RJs. Abroad: The same scenario is available we the requisite of being fluent and culturally aware, skilled as per the place the job is present. RADIO jockey can be on various radio channels abroad according to the country one approaches. Without the name of the country, one can not name the possible channels of radio FM.

Radio Jockeys are those who anchor music programmes on radio. The task of a RJ is to entertain the listeners by playing music or conveying messages in a most attractive and sophisticated way. They play requests from listeners, interview guests, manage contests and also provide information on the music, weather and traffic. This is a profession which requires a lot of hard work and presence of mind. They can work with the various leading FM channels and private radio stations such as Radio Mirchi, Big FM, Red FM, and many other independent radio stations. They can work as an FM/AM radio Jockeys also. A certificate course in radio jockeying will be essential to get jobs easily. But experience is more important as people with experience and a good attitude are widely preferred. So, one can go for internships in various areas where they can showcase their skills. They can also start their career through a college FM if available. After that, they can find their own path and become successful. Pay scale: Initially, they may earn around 10-15k per month but with experience they can earn more than 50 K per month.
