A certificate course in videography seems to consist of camera as well as editing of videos. Without editing a cameraman shall always carry the limitations in career growth. In India, videographers are employed in varied profiles and domains. From education to film making, from field to web, personal works/community works like weddings to professional assignments like modelling portfolio, this is needed everywhere. 1. India- Expected salary for a fresher as intern or on training may start with 15k to 20 depending on the employer. Further, skills of editing and professional expertise can double the salary. 2. Abroad- Production houses and PR/advertising firms, Hollywood and other film making industries of non US countries have vast scope for videography. This is mentioned that a career through the certificate course shall be limited to a slow beginning in the absence of professional skills and exposure.
