Bachelor of planning is usually a 4-year course. Graduates may start working as professional planners for government or private enterprises and setups. The study of B.Planning deals with planning techniques. The working areas include metropolitan cities as well as small congested towns, cities & also villages. They have opportunities in both government as well as private sector job opportunities. Government sector: Government Departments related to Urban and Town planning, Government operated Housing schemes, Government Transportation Projects (Highways, Railways and Metros etc.), Government Construction and rehabilitation projects, PWD job posts, Municipal Corporation job posts etc. Private sector: When it comes to the private sector, firms indulged in Realty Development, Construction firms, Architecture and Interior Design firms, Public Structure Construction firms (PPP model- like roads and bridges etc.). Recruit B.Plan grads. Pay scale: The starting salary would be around 15,000-25,000 Rupees per month. This would increase with experience and qualifications. In both B.Arch & B.Planning, you will be required to search for a job on your own.
