What are the career prospects in India for Master of Planning?

Hello, M.Planning is a post graduate degree programme in planning which is a 2-year course. The opportunities available for M.Plan graduates are more higher than a B.Plan. They can also get paid more. However, the job profiles are similar, which includes: 1)Town planner 2)Urban planner 3)Transport planner 4)Planning engineer 5)Structure architect 6)Building inspector Government sector: Government Departments related to Urban and Town planning, Government operated Housing schemes, Government Transportation Projects (Highways, Railways and Metros etc.), Government Construction and rehabilitation projects, PWD job posts, Municipal Corporation job posts, etc. Private sector: When it comes to the private sector, firms indulged in Realty Development, Construction firms, Architecture and Interior Design firms, Public Structure Construction firms (PPP model- like roads and bridges etc.) recruit M.Plan grads. Pay scale: The pay scale would obviously be higher as compared to a B.Plan graduate. Initially, these grads can earn around 30,000-50,000 Rupees per month.
