What are the career prospects of Astrobiology?

As you are aware astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution, and future of life in the universe: extraterrestrial life and life on Earth. Astrobiology makes use of physics, chemistry, astronomy, biology, molecular biology, ecology, planetary science, geography, and geology to investigate the possibility of life on other worlds and help recognize biospheres that might be different from the biosphere on Earth. Indian Astrobiology Research Centre (IARC) conducts and encourages primarily theoretical research in Astrobiology The research goals of IARC are aligned with those determined by NASA in the Astrobiology Roadmap. As research in this sector are indeed a need and demanded, after Astrobiology you have extended possibility in ISRO, NASA and related research organisations.
