What are the career prospects of Biomedical Engineer?

Hi Aditya, Biomedical Engineering deals with the study of engineering principles and techniques, which can be applied in the medical field. This field is gaining a huge popularity around the world with its significant innovations in medical field. B.Tech Biomedical engineering course is a four year course in biomedical engineering, which enable the candidates to gain lucrative job opportunities in this promising field. B.Tech Biomedical engineering graduates can look for job openings in government organizations like Employment State Insurance Corporation and Rajiv Gandhi Center for Bio Technology and Bio Medical Engineering. These graduates can apply for a teaching post in government colleges offering Biomedical Engineering courses. B.Tech Biomedical engineering graduates can start their career in hospitals or health care centers. These graduates can works as service engineers in medical equipment manufacturing companies. Salary is a function of various factors - i.e. (i) the institute where you have completed your B.Tech + M.Tech. e.g. a graduate from a top institute will command a higher salary. (ii) Your work experience - organization and type of work profile (iii) city - a metropolitan city will have higher salaries as compared to smaller cities and towns. (iv) Your current organization - i.e. where you will be joining - an MNC usually has higher salaries as compared to other organizations.
