What are the common mistakes that students make while attempting BHU PET? What is the best way to ensure that one performs well?

In BHU PET, the exam structure is all same as like any other examination but you need to adopt some different methodology to get excellent position. You must first have to understand about its pattern. Each question of BHU PET 2018 will carry three marks and total marks is 360 for 120 objective type questions. Total time you get for completing the exam is just 2 hours. So try to practice the questions in such a manner so that you can successfully clear 1 question in 1 minute. It is not as difficult as you are thinking. What you just need is clear all the concepts that are taught in class 11th and 12th. And study very hard. Always use the past sample papers as a reference to check your level. The best way to perform well is having tight grasp over the knowledge that you have learned while preparation. Hi, First of all, I feel that clearing or scoring well in the BHU UET Exam is not that hard. It's just that either the students are over confident or don't follow the instructions provided by the Banaras Hindu University. They fail to take time to read important instructions before starting. Even the complete guidelines of answering questions in the UET exam are shared. By following which, you can avoid unnecessary mistakes and hassles. Some get stressed before attempting this exam and get confused. The best way to avoid these mistakes is to prepare yourself to a mentally calm and fit position. As soon as you are relaxed, you get to know when, how and where to start from. Prepare a schedule and study the subjects as per a sort of time table. Make it a habit to stay well and avoid being ill or stressed. You have around 10 minutes of time to go through the question booklet. In case you find any fault you can inform the same to Superintendent immediately. Each question will have four alternatives and you need to select the correct answer. You can do it by highlighting the same in your answer sheet. Use only Blue or Black Ball Point pen. Your answer can be marked as incorrect if you mark more than one oval. First and foremost, make a time table for study of each and every subject every day. Give time for exercise every day. It should include physical, pranayam and yoga. These help in achieving a fit body and a fitter soul. This will also ensure that one does not fall sick at the time of exam. It also strengthens the mind to remain calm during times of stress. Then learn some activity like singing, playing an instrument, individual game etc. This gives relaxation to the mind. Last but not the least, attempt mock exams to know how to write answers and save time.

As per my observation, I've found that BHU PET repeats questions on a regular basis. 30-40% questions are generally taken from previous year question papers. So it's recommended to download previous ten year question papers and solve them sincerely. Along with this your basics must be clear and you should have good command in physical and especially in analytical chemistry. Generally paper consists of direct questions to answers, but you should go through BHU academic syllabus that will be more helpful. Analytical chemistry part might be new for Non-BHU student, so go through that topic thoroughly. For Spectroscopy topic, you should know about the basic principles behind various spectroscopic techniques and how to predict the organic structure from given spectral data. For Organic Chemistry, Named reaction and their significance, stereochemistry and reaction mechanism. For physical chemistry, memories all the formulas that will assure you to gain marks. At the end, try to attempt only sure answers’ question.
