    The HSEE has two parts:
A MCQ (multiple choice questions) paper which tests the following:
    Economics
World Affairs (famous treaties, events like 9/11, Cuban missile crisis, etc.)
    English
    Mathematics (class 10 level)
    Sociology, Political Science (NCERT Level)
    Environmental Studies (class 10, 11, 12 Geography)
An Essay (you have choice between a range of topics)
Now to deal with the first part of the paper the following study materials will be very beneficial:
NCERT Social Sciences Textbooks of classes 11 and 12 [political science, sociology] (can be downloaded free of cost in pdf format from http://ncert.nic.in)
    NCERT Economics textbook of classes
