The purpose of the exam is to grant individuals admission to BEd programmes throughout Maharashtra. The MAH BEd CET exam is administered online and lasts for one hour. Three sections make up the question paper: teacher aptitude, general knowledge, and mental capacity. The MAH B.Ed CET exam is a gateway for admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) courses offered by various universities and colleges in the state of Maharashtra. B.Ed is a two-year professional programme that qualifies individuals to become teachers at the secondary or high school level.

There are two types of B.Ed courses offered through MAH B.Ed CET:

    • B.Ed. Regular: This is a two-year full-time programme designed to prepare students for teaching various subjects at the secondary or high school level.
    • B.Ed. Special Education: This is a two-year full-time programme designed to prepare students for teaching children with special needs.

The courses under the MAH BEd CET exam are integrated with BA/B.Sc-BEd. The MAH BEd CET is the only way to get admission into BEd courses in the state of Maharashtra. A BEd is a 2-year teacher training programme that can be done after completion of an undergraduate programme in a relevant discipline from a recognised university.
