What are the criteria for admission into a Ph.D program abroad having done my B.Tech (Chemical). Also what possible fields can I do Ph.D in?
I came to hear that getting admission into a Ph.D program abroad directly after B.Tech is very difficult and requires near-perfect grades. I have a 7.0 CGPA (out of 10) from NIT Nagpur. What chances do I have? Also, is it possible I can change my field, i.e, do my Ph.D in finance, management, etc?

Internships or other work experience will add to your qualifications. Ph.D. course work essentially includes research and documentation work. This requires large amounts of money. In addition to this, you have to consider living expenses for the entire duration of the course. The annual expenses of most Ph.D. students are about $28,000-$40,000 per year.
