    To be eligible for a B.Com degree, students must have passed the 12th Standard/HSC/10+2 from a recognised Board. Many universities prefer candidates with 50% marks for the admission process.B.Com course is divided into BCom-General, BCom Honours, and B.Com LLB. For B.Com Hons, students must have passed class 12th with a minimum aggregate of 50% or above from a recognised school board. Candidates should have studied Commerce along with Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Math, and English as core subjects in class 12th. The cutoff mark for a B.Com also vary by category OBC-80–85%, SC-70%, ST- 60%.

    The minimum score needed for a B.Com. varies based on the college and the area of specialisation. The cutoff for admission to B.Com (Hons) is 96.75%, and the cutoff for admission to B.Com (Prog) is 95.5%. The cutoff for Economics (Hons) varies; it is 97.75% if Economics is one of the Best Four Subjects and a higher 99.75% if it is not. In class XII, mathematics is required with a minimum 75% score.A high cutoff of 98% is required for Commerce, 96.5% for Science, and 96.5% for Humanities in English (Hons). Furthermore, English Core (95%) and Elective English (85%) have distinct cutoffs.

    For B.Com-

    •  97%+ for general category for Top Tier Colleges (e.g., SRCC, Mumbai/Delhi Universities' top commerce colleges).
    • Other Respected Universities: 92% to 95% for candidates in the general category
    • Private & Associated Universities:
      Cutoff: For Class 12 exams, the overall percentage range is 65% to 75%.
    • Standard Local Universities-The overall percentage in the 12th standard can vary from 50% to 60%.
      The cutoffs are also influenced by demand, college location, and seat availability. For reserved seats in the SC/ST category, they are loosened by five to ten percentage points.
