<p>Admissions to NSIT, one of India's the finest engineering colleges, are very competitive. The minimum necessary JEE Main ranks for various categories are indicated in the cutoffs for the various B.Tech branches at NSIT. Marks are not taken into account directly.<br>For admission to NSIT, general category students must have exceptionally high ranks&mdash;typically less than 2000.<br>Although they have comparatively lower cutoffs, reserved SC, ST, and OBC categories still require ranks under 10,000.<br>The final JEE Main rankings for the highest branches in 2022 were:<br> {General - 1814, OBC - 4943, SC - 14630, ST - 40690 } for Computer Engineering.</p><p>Communication &amp; Electronics: General - 2731 OBC - 7545 SC - 19882 ST - 45556</p><p>To put it roughly, general category students need to score at least 99 percentile in JEE Main to be considered for the top branches.</p>
