The cutoff marks for B.Tech at NSUT (formerly NSIT) depend on the branch, category, and region of the candidate. The admission is based on the JEE Main rank and score, followed by Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi. The cutoff marks vary every year depending on the difficulty level of the exam, number of seats available, number of candidates registered and appeared, etc.

According to the latest data available, the cutoff marks for B.Tech at NSUT for the year 2021 (Round 7) are as follows²:

Admissions to NSIT, one of India's the finest engineering colleges, are very competitive. The minimum necessary JEE Main ranks for various categories are indicated in the cutoffs for the various B.Tech branches at NSIT. Marks are not taken into account directly.
For admission to NSIT, general category students must have exceptionally high ranks—typically less than 2000.
Although they have comparatively lower cutoffs, reserved SC, ST, and OBC categories still require ranks under 10,000.
The final JEE Main rankings for the highest branches in 2022 were:
    {General - 1814, OBC - 4943, SC - 14630, ST - 40690 } for Computer Engineering.
