Admission for B.Tech, the cutoff marks can vary based on the institution and category. For general category candidates, a minimum of 50% in the 10+2 or equivalent examination is typically required. However, specific institutes like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) may have higher cutoffs, with around 66-68% for general, 65-66% for OBC, 63% for SC, and 62.5% for ST categories.

For National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), the cutoff is generally set at 75% in class 12, with a relaxation to 65% for SC/ST candidates.
