    The minimum grades or scores needed to be admitted to MBA programs differ significantly amongst universities and program types.

    • Minimum 97+ for the general category is the CAT overall percentile cutoff for top IIMs.
    • Cutoffs for sectional percentiles: 90+ for each QA, DI, and LR section
    • To aspiring IIMs and elite private colleges:
      CAT overall percentile: greater than 90 in the broad category
      Cutoff for the sectional percentile: 80–85+
      CAT/XAT/CMAT overall percentile cutoffs: 80+ for general category;
    • Other good private/state colleges
      Sectional cutoffs with minimums of 70–75 percentiles
