What are the demerits of Bachelors in engineering (BE) in mechanical branch?

A few years back, girls were not preferred for shop floor jobs in manufacturing sector. But this gender bias is reducing and in fact, some companies prefer diversity in shop floor management. There is no demerit in doing BE in mechanical engineering.

Starting salaries of engineers in private sector is between Rs 3.5 Lakhs to Rs 12 LPA in depending on ranking of college. IITian get top of the range salaries and tier 3 Engineering college grads get lower end salaries.
