What are the differences between deemed and state universities?

Deemed Universities can take their own entrance exam and designs their own semester paper and can't give affiliation to other colleges. It may have its own department. State universities can give affiliation to other colleges as well and they come under state government.

State universities or colleges are those institutes that are affiliated to government colleges under the State government.
