What are the different career options after pursuing the course of "php" & "SQL"?

I am a B.Sc.(IT) graduate currently working with a market research company. So, i now would like to change my area of profession to IT. I have above two courses mentioned in my mind. Kindly guide me regarding this course options.

    Hi Prasad,
    PHP is a Peripheral Hypertext language and is required in case of web development, SQL on the other hand holds the key to Database stream and hence both the streams seems to be some what different to each other.
    So as the fields are different to one another and it becomes difficult to predict any thing in particular, it is best for you to decide as to which among these courses holds more inclination.
