The institute offer UG, PG, and Doctoral courses through its different departments. There are 14 departments of study at IIT Ropar namely Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Humanities, and Social Sciences.
