What are the different hostels available for B.Tech students, year wise?

The hostels here in Banasthali gets changed every year. The hostels are all renovated with good mess facilities. There is no assurance, which particular hostel you will get. But, I can guarantee that B.Tech students are given one of the best hostels here.

No, Campus Hostels are only available for the 30% students, rest stays as PG or in private Hostel or are localities. Being a student of the Same College, I have experienced both the situation. In the first year, I got late and all the Hostel seats were allotted to the students who came first. So, I had no choice left, but to stay in private hostel. The monthly rent for the room plus the mess facility with it was at INR. 5K (approx.).The total expenditure for 1 year was around 55k in private Hostel. Because, of an SC (schedule cast) student, even with the lower pointer, I was able to get the seat at Campus Hostel in 2nd year. The annual fee here at campus Hotel is around 25k which is supposed to be given in two instalments (one in each semester). Girls Hostel admission: Recently, there has been a major change in the procedure of admission for the girls in Girls Hotel. Now, there are no reserved seats for the SC/ST/OBC Girls. The seats are allotted on the basis of pointer/Grade in their specific branches. This step was taken because Girls filed a complaint that even with the good pointer they are not getting campus Hostel only because they belong to General category. (The worst part is that Girls are not allowed to go out of hostel after 8 pm). Boys Hostel Admission: In Boys case, they are following the same reserved seat protocol for the Admission procedure in Campus Hostel. Had there been no reserved protocol for SC/ST/OBC, I could not get the seat in 2nd, 3rd and 4th year and I would have been stayed in private Hostel. (In time of hostel is 11:00 pm). Solution: Providing Hostel to 30% Students is not right especially in the Institute which we call as 'Institute of National Importance'. There should be Hostel facility for all students within the campus (like other IITs /most NITs). This will also provide extra time for the students to be in touch with faculty and faculty can also take extra classes whenever they want.
