What are the different scholarships offered by LPU?

Dear Virat, Being an educational consultant, I have gone through the LPU website and checked all the scholarships offered by LPU. Let me explain in details, LPU offers the scholarship in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. Students have been awarded scholarships worth Rs. 100+ crores in last year only. You can avail of 100% scholarship on the basis of Performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Service, and Bravery Awards Scholarship applicable on the basis of Qualifying exam National Level Test LPUNEST exam Sports Cultural R & D Co-curricular Social Service Bravery Awards Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board Scholarship for Orphan Applicants/Single girl child Scholarship for Person with Certain Disability Students who have topped their board examination of eligibility qualification (10th or 10+2 as applicable) and are among the top 20 merit holders, may avail scholarships of full tuition fee waiver and hostel fee waiver which is applicable to four-seater air-cooled room. To facilitate quality education to deserving applicants, LPU offers a special scholarship of Full Tuition fee waiver to orphan students who are residents of India and whose both parents are dead. A maximum of 10 applicants will be awarded this scholarship on the basis of a first come first serve basis subject to satisfying the LPU policy for the same. Applicant having Benchmark disability of more than 70% and/or Locomotor disability caused by spinal cord injury can avail the benefit of full programme fee waiver subject his/her case being approved by Special Committee constituted by LPU. LPU offers exclusive Scholarship schemes for Tibetan Students studying in CTA (Central Tibetan Administration) Schools and Students studying in different schools managed by Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan where on the basis of test conducted in schools of the concerned organisation and/or recommendation of the concerned authority of the organisation, certain students may be offered full tuition fee waiver. Many students get scholarship in LPU according to their +2 Percentages and their Score in LPU NEST exam. It also provides scholarships to the toppers of the corresponding years in University Scholarship 1 Every year, roughly 50-60 per cent of the students receive scholarships from LPU thereby bringing down their course fees by 70-75%. Scholarship 2 University offers scholarship on the basis of performance in LPU NEST is available for all programmes of the university except Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed. ) Scholarship bracket for Hons/ Integrated/ Professional programme will be same as corresponding regular programme. The LPU offers various scholarships to the students. The scholarships are offered to the meritorious to encourage them for good performance and to the needy with an aim to remove their stumbling block from the path of achieving education. Hi, LPU offers different types of scholarships on the basis of marks in either of the last two qualifications, LPU NEST Sports, Defence, need-based scholarship, single girl child, orphan and many more. If you are eligible for more than one scholarship, only one scholarship you will get is the maximum one. The best thing is if you get the scholarship, the tuition fees after getting a scholarship will be applicable every semester except for a few types of scholarships. Thanks.

Being Alumni of LPU I must say the Fees Structure for a particular student for pursuing any particular course is precisely depends upon the capability of the student because there are multiple scholarship options available by LPU & be assured of getting your ROI (Return of Investment) in the most promising way if you take admission in LPU. LPU always intends to provide scholarship to all eligible students in all possible ways so that fulfilling the fees criteria should not be the obstacle for any of the students to get quality education. You will be amazed to find the wide variety of scholarships offered at LPU out of which the candidate can avail any one. The various categories of scholarships offered are :- 1. Hi Virat, LPU understands the social corporate responsibility and believes in holding hands of the needy. Hence, in a bid to owe the social responsibility towards the needy, and give a token to the meritorious, LPU offers a range of scholarships and financial aid. You do not have to apply for a scholarship every time you pay the fee. What you get at the time of admission, continues till the course is over. However, the criteria are different for those who have sought admission through sports quota, board toppers, and performing arts. If you are a board topper and someone from the sports category and extracurricular performance category, you will have to either maintain a CGPA or keep performing in sports or extracurricular activities as the case may be.
