Mathematics is very important subject for any field, whether Science or any core. In commerce field, student choose field of being chartered account or any bank job. There is no problem in taking Maths as a subject in class 12th. The only consequence is that you may have less career options as Maths is demanded almost in every course, whether B.Com BCA and professional courses like CA, CFA etc. Still, you have other career options like BBA CS BA LLB etc.
