What are the eligibility criteria for admission to HBTU Kanpur for Master of Computer Applications (MCA)?

<p>To be eligible for admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme at HBTU Kanpur, candidates must meet the following criteria:</p> <ol> <li> <strong>Age Limit</strong>: There is no age limit for candidates seeking admission to the MCA program.</li> <li> <strong>Academic Qualifications</strong>: Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree under the 10+2+3 or 4-year pattern of education in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Technology, or Bachelor in Computer Application with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA (50% or equivalent CGPA for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD) from a University recognised by UGC.</li> <li> <strong>Admission Process</strong>: Admissions will be made based on the merit of NIMCET-2025. The allotment of seats through counseling will be carried out strictly on merit in accordance with the NIMCET-2025 rank of the candidate.</li> <li> <strong>Reservation</strong>: The reservation of seats includes vertical reservation for Scheduled Caste (21%), Scheduled Tribe (2%), and Other Backward Classes (27%), as well as horizontal reservation for sub-categories such as Dependents of Freedom Fighters, Sons/Daughters of Defence Personnel, Handicapped/Disabled persons, and Girls.</li> <li> <strong>Medical Standards</strong>: Candidates must be physically and mentally fit to pursue their studies in the opted course. They must submit a certificate of Medical Fitness/Handicapped on the relevant certificate at the time of verification at HBTU, Kanpur.</li> </ol> <p>Candidates must carefully read the guidelines and check their eligibility before filling and submitting the online registration form.
